Abstract: The article examines the existence of neo-fascist parties and groups in modern Europe in our era of distress and confusion. In order to characterise the latter as neo-fascist, it is first of all necessary to identify the degree to which they have been influenced by traditional fascism which prevailed in Europe during the interwar period. In any case, the current neo-fascist/radical right parties are characterised by extreme nationalism, racism―that could even be reliriously motivated―and also populism. They remain a serious threat to certain groups of people in the European world and beyond, therefore to identify and peacefully and democratically confront them is undoubtly necessary.
